Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with 1+ year of experience for a 13-week travel assignment in an outpatient multidisciplinary therapy department in Festus, MO.

Details

• Outpatient multidisciplinary therapy department that also services occupational and speech therapy
• Primary caseload consists of adult patients with diagnoses of orthopedics, ortho surgical, pain management, neurological, and sports medicine
• PT evaluations are 60 minutes with 30-minute treatment sessions; flexibility based on patient needs is appropriate
• All therapy is 1:1 — no double booking or techs treating patients
• Productivity expectation is 80% patient care time per shift
• Day shift, 5×8-hour schedule
• Weekend hours as needed per facility needs
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Float requirements as needed
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active Missouri PT license required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience in the relevant specialty
• BLS certification required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment, unless renewal documentation is provided)
• Experience in an outpatient therapy setting preferred
• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills and flexibility
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1–April 1; declinations/exceptions must be client-approved

• Responsibilities include performing initial assessments and plans of care for each patient upon receiving a physician’s order, in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Very supportive, welcoming therapy department with a range of experience levels from newer graduates to well-seasoned therapists
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be placed at a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after completing 3 consecutive contracts, candidates must separate from the facility for a minimum of 1 year or transition to a facility outside the 50-mile radius
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Black scrubs required; no other attire is acceptable
• The facility has earned an A grade in The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2024 Hospital Safety Grade
• Located in Festus, MO, approximately 45 minutes from St. Louis
