We are seeking a passionate and energetic Girls Basketball Head Coach to lead and inspire our young athletes. Responsibilities
- Plan and execute engaging basketball practices that develop fundamental skills and game strategies
- Lead the girls’ basketball team during games, ensuring fair play and sportsmanship
- Foster a supportive team environment that emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and respect
- Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct among players
- Coordinate with school staff and parents to communicate team progress and upcoming events
- Organize team activities such as cheerleading routines or related sports like climbing or martial arts to enhance team spirit
- Promote physical education by integrating health and fitness principles into coaching sessions
Skills
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly basketball; experience in cheerleading or climbing is a plus
- Background in teaching physical education or working with students in a school setting
- Knowledge of martial arts disciplines such as karate or judo is beneficial for developing discipline and focus
- Strong behavior management skills to motivate students and maintain a positive environment
- Ability to incorporate diverse activities like swimming, gymnastics, or health club exercises into training routines
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, and school staff
- Experience with childcare or working with children of various ages to ensure safety and engagement
