Tennis/Pickleball Professional Jobs in Naples, FL at Blackwood Tennis Managment

The Racquet Sports Pickleball and Tennis Professional is responsible for overseeing all racquet sports within the community. This role requires a highly visible, hands-on professional who delivers exceptional programming while creating a fun, welcoming, and engaging environment for residents and prospective buyers.

Work Schedule Requirements
● Must be onsite and available to residents for 30 hours per week

● Schedule may be structured as:
○ 5-day work week (6 hours/day) or
○ 6-day work week (5 hours/day) as needed
● Sunday is a required day off
● Consistent daily hours are required so residents know when you are available

Key Responsibilities
Resident Engagement & Community Experience
● Serve as a welcoming, friendly, and visible presence at the courts each day

● Greet residents and prospective residents with a positive attitude and approachable demeanor
● Actively engage with players:
○ Watch play when appropriate
○ Offer helpful tips and encouragement
○ Build relationships and trust with residents
● Promote participation by naturally converting interactions with residents into getting them to book lessons, clinics,
● Work with the Lifestyle Director to showcase the community as fun, social, and active

Programming & Instruction
● Plan and lead tennis and pickleball clinics, lessons, and events
● Organize and execute:
○ Round robins
○ Social mixers
○ Open play sessions
● Create and implement programming including rating sessions and clinics
Community Building & Events
● Coordinate inter-club play by speaking to other communities to host and join in event nights

Communication & Reporting
○ Log your Lesson and clinic activity
○ Maintenance updates and needs
● Maintain ongoing communication with the Lifestyle Director regarding programming and events

Facility Operations & Maintenance
● Oversee and assist with daily court and facility upkeep:
○ Keep courts and sports areas clean and organized
○ Ensure common area chairs are properly arranged
● Assist part-time maintenance staff and cover duties on their day off

● Monitor court conditions and report maintenance needs

Manage amenities:
○ Stock and rotate water daily (cold to front, new to back)
○ Restock towels throughout the day
○ Notify management if towel service levels need adjustment

Administrative Responsibilities
● Daily check for new residents accounts so they can be verified in a timely manner

Qualifications
● Certified Tennis Professional (USPTA, USPTR, or equivalent)
● Willingness to obtain Pickleball certification if not already certified
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a hospitality-first mindset
● Experience in programming, event planning, and team coordination
● Self-motivated and comfortable working in a developing community

Pay: From $2,800.00 per month
