Position: Tennis and Pickleball Instructor New Westminster
Inspire the community as a Tennis and Pickleball Instructor for the City of New Westminster. Teach engaging lessons for all ages in a vibrant urban setting from June through July.
The City of New Westminster seeks a passionate instructor to provide tennis and pickleball lessons across various skill levels. This seasonal, auxiliary role requires teaching preschoolers to adults, embodying fun and safety in each session. You’ll contribute to community engagement at Queen’s and Ryall Park Sport Courts, flexible around weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver enjoyable tennis lessons to participants of all ages
• Attend mandatory staff orientations and training sessions
• Compile reports, forms, and lesson plans
• Notify students of class cancellations due to weather
• Collaborate effectively with volunteers in sessions
Requirements:
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications required
• Must have BC Driver’s License and personal vehicle access
• Level 1 Coaching Certificate or teaching experience needed
• Strong organizational and planning skills are essential
• Clear Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector Check
