Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher/Education Majors to serve as a 7th Grade Girl’s Counselor at Camp W i. This paid position is an 8 week job starting June 29, 2026 and ends August 21, 2026. As a camp counselor, you will play a vital role in guiding, mentoring, and supporting the development of our campers while gaining valuable hands-on experience in working with children and youth development.
Duties
- Follow a set schedule of activities tailored to 7th-grade girls,Each activity is lead by a specialist and you are their to assist in the activity.
- Managea group of fifteen girls with the assistance for an assistant counselor.
- Take attendance daily and oversee the well being of your group.
- Weekly phne calls to parents to inform them on how their child is doing.
- Be at work from 8:15 am until 3:30 pm without missing any camp days.
- Support campers’ emotional well-being through promoting kindness, respect, and inclusivity Experience
- Current enrollment or recent graduation in an education major program or related field such as childhood development or special education
- Prior experience working with children in settings like daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms or group activities effectively using behavior management techniques
- Knowledge of child safety procedures including first aid certification preferred
- Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or childcare is a plus but not required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and connect positively with children
