In this role, you will leverage your firsthand experience as a competitive player to gather critical sports intelligence, maintain precise scorekeeping, and analyze tournament data. You will be our eyes and ears on the ground (or screen), turning your deep understanding of spin, strategy, and player mechanics into structured, valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Gathering & Reporting: Monitor local, regional, or national tournaments to extract valuable player metrics, tournament structures, and competitive trends.
- Live Scorekeeping & Logging: Track real-time match data, point-by-point progression, and player statistics accurately into our digital systems.
- Technical Match Analysis: Evaluate player performances, identifying strengths, technical weaknesses, serving patterns, and tactical choices.
- Community Liaison: Utilize your network within the table tennis community to stay updated on upcoming talent, tournament schedules, and roster changes.
Required Qualifications
- Active Player Status: You are a current or very recent competitive table tennis player.
- Tournament Experience: You have actively participated in recognized table tennis tournaments recently and understand official match regulations and pressure environments.
- Deep Sports IQ: Comprehensive knowledge of table tennis rules, styles (e.g., penhold vs. shakehand, attackers vs. choppers), equipment types, and tournament brackets.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot subtle match patterns and translate gameplay into clear metrics.
- Tech Comfort: Efficient with basic data entry tools, mobile scoring applications, or video analysis software.
