Swim Instructor – Year-Round Swim Instructor Jobs in Castro Valley at Pattis Swim School
We are hiring now and looking for a reliable swim instructor who wants steady hours, good pay, and a calm teaching environment.
Patti’s Swim School has been teaching in Castro Valley for many years and offers something different from most pools:
- Private one-on-one lessons
- Heated saltwater pool (gentle on hair, skin, and eyes)
- Year-round work — not seasonal
- Consistent weekly schedule

If you are comfortable in the water and enjoy working with children, we will train the right person.
Former swimmers, lifeguards, teachers, coaches, ABA therapists, and childcare workers do very well here.
Pay
- $25 – $35 per hour starting range
- Higher pay for experience
- Extra pay for:
- Swim teaching experience
- ABA / special needs experience
- Weekend shifts
- Paid training
Good instructors quickly move to the top of the pay range.
Hours
- Part-time, year-round
- 20–35 hours per week
- Afternoon / evening shifts
- Saturday required
- Same students each week
- Stable schedule

Requirements
- Strong swimming ability
- Able to demonstrate freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke
- Able to tread water comfortably
- Comfortable working with children
- Reliable and on time
- Able to commit to a regular weekly schedule
- Saturday availability required
Teaching experience helpful but not required — we will train the right person.
