Position: Swim Instructor & Lifeguard Job at Holland Bloorview
Join the team at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital as a Swim Instructor and Lifeguard. Teach water safety to a diverse group of participants and ensure a safe aquatic environment.
As part of Canada’s largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital linked with the University of Toronto, you will play a key role in instructing and ensuring safety in aquatics programs. Your responsibilities include teaching swimming skills to children, youth, and adults, alongside overseeing recreational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor safety during swimming and recreational activities
• Execute emergency rescues and manage patron concerns
• Conduct swimming lessons and ensure standards are met
• Create comprehensive lesson plans for classes
• Maintain a clean and safe pool environment
Requirements:
• 18 years of age or older
• At least 1 year of teaching swimming experience
• Lifeguard certification from Lifesaving Society
• Must possess Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
• National Lifeguard certification needed
