Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to students’ skill levels and learning styles
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and monitoring water conditions
- Develop customized lesson plans that promote skill progression and confidence building
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool environment at all times
- Provide guidance on water safety, rescue techniques, and emergency procedures when necessary
- Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive programs that accommodate diverse needs and abilities
Skills
- Prior experience as a Lifeguard or in water safety supervision
- Strong background in sports coaching, teaching, or physical education
- Proficiency in swimming and familiarity with various aquatic techniques
- Knowledge of martial arts such as Karate, Judo, or Climbing enhances instructional versatility
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings
- Ability to manage behavior effectively and maintain discipline during lessons
- Familiarity with health clubs or gym environments is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to motivate and connect with students of all ages
- Passion for teaching physical activities like basketball, cheerleading, or other team sports
