At British Swim School Pittsburgh, we teach more than swim lessons — we teach lifesaving survival skills. We’re growing rapidly and looking for enthusiastic instructors to join our highly respected program across 8 Pittsburgh-area locations, including Valencia, Robinson, Bridgeville, Shadyside, and Monroeville.
Hiring for all locations.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach small-group swim lessons for students of all ages and abilities
- Create a fun, engaging learning environment using song, play, and encouragement
- Ensure the safety of every child in and around the water
- Follow the British Swim School curriculum with consistency and enthusiasm
- Maintain strong communication with parents and teammates
- Adapt positively in a fast-paced, child-centered environment
- Complete 40 hours of paid training (online + in-person)
- Obtain and maintain Lifeguard/CPR/AED certification within 60 days of hire
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Availability for at least 1–2 weekday evenings and 1 weekend morning (4–5 hour shifts)
- Comfort swimming and treading water in various depths
- Positive attitude and coachable mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Team players who bring energy and reliability to every shift
Bonus Points If You:
- Can swim and teach the four competitive strokes
- Have experience as a performer, musician, actor, or educator
- Thrive on delivering exceptional customer service
