Join our dynamic team as a Swim Director, where you will lead and inspire our aquatic programs to promote safety, skill development, and enjoyment for all participants.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee swim lessons and water safety initiatives while fostering a positive and engaging environment. As a Swim Director, you will be the driving force behind creating memorable experiences that encourage lifelong love for swimming. Your leadership will ensure that safety protocols are strictly followed, and that every swimmer receives top-quality instruction tailored to their needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive swim programs for all child age groups and skill levels, including beginner lessons to advanced training.
- Lead and supervise certified lifeguards, swim instructors, and party hosting staff in the pool areas to ensure high standards of safety and instruction
- Conduct regular training sessions on water safety, emergency response procedures, behavior management, and teaching techniques
- Coordinate scheduling of classes, special events, and community outreach initiatives to maximize participation
- Monitor water quality and safety equipment to maintain a secure environment for swimmers and staff
- Foster a positive staff culture focused on teamwork, motivation, and continuous improvement
- Engage with parents and community members to promote program offerings and address any concerns or feedback
Skills
- Proven experience as a lifeguard with additional background in sports coaching or education
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively with children and adolescents in a childcare or educational setting
- Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising staff
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans
- Exceptional communication skills for working with students of all ages and their families
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to water rescue, first aid, CPR certification are necessary
- Applicant will need to be a Certified Pool Operator (trianing provided)

Salary: Negotiable and will be based on qualifications, relevant experience, scheduled hours, and demonstrated performance.
Hours: This is a part-time to full-time, year-round position on staff as a director, 15-30+ hours. The range depends on your schedule.
