Job Description:
Do you love swimming? Enjoy working with kids developing new skills? Are you looking to develop your own skills? We are looking for mature adults who have a passion for teaching kids to swim and helping seasoned swimmers excel. This position is year round, not seasonal.
The Pod Aquatics is seeking Age Group Coaches for our intermediate and developmental level groups, in addition to Learn-to-Swim and Adaptive Swimming.
Job Responsibilities:
* Teaching swimming lessons, ages 3-15 in groups or private lessons.
* Coaching competitive lessons
* Developing and maintaining current knowledge of curriculum and suggesting
adjustments.
* Excellent customer service with engaging with parents and clients
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required Qualifications:
* Good work ethic
* Ability to swim across a 25 yard pool
* Basic knowledge of all four competitive strokes
* Applicants must be 18 years or older
* Previous swim coach/instructor experience 2 + Years
Preferred Qualifications:
* Competitive swimming experience
* Has worked with children
* CPR and First Aid (CPR and First Aid Training and Certificate Provided on Site if needed)
Pay Scale:
Based on Skills and Experience.
New employees go through a 30 day training and trial period.
The Pod Aquatics is operational: Monday – Thursday 8-7pm
Friday & Saturday 8-Noon
Part-time and full time positions available. 10 – 35 hours per week year round
Ideal candidates will have a passion for coaching, teaching and be able to work with children of varying ages. Applicants preferred to have at least 1-2 years experience as a swim coach and/or as a competitive swimmer. We provide CPR and First Aid Training and Certificate on site if needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 – $18.00 per hour
