Surf Coach Jobs in Huntington Beach, CA at Learn To Surf
We are the leading provider of private surf lessons in Orange County and are looking for motivated individuals with communication skills and a matching work ethic to join our team. Learn To Surf provides 2 hour private lessons and does not do the traditional surf camp. We hold ourselves to a higher standard than the average surf camp. Backgrounds as lifeguards, pro surfers, waterpolo players, divers, and military are preferred. We give our instructors a lot of freedom and autonomy so we expect you to be on time and ready to go…there is no micromanaging and we only hire adults. It’s the most fun you will have on the beach if you love to be outdoors and are a people person we encourage you to apply…as well as foreign language speakers as we have clients from all over the world. An average work day is anywhere from 2-8 hours
A lot of lessons are same day appointments so being on call is a part of the job.
Must live close to Huntington or Newport Beach not looking to hire people more than 10 miles away from the beach areas you wont make it on time and parking is busy in the summer. The winter season is cold water and scheduled differently so you need to earn your spot.
Tips are not factored into base pay and there is a split for upselling clients go pro footage and video.
