Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate engaging activities in camp settings, including sports, gymnastics, swimming, and ninja classes.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by supervising activities closely and enforcing behavior management policies
- Deliver clear instructions and demonstrate techniques in swimming, gymnastics, or ninja to learners of various ages and skill levels
- Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal achievement
- Assist in organizing daily schedules, setting up equipment, and maintaining cleanliness of activity areas
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and team members to provide updates on progress and address concerns
Preferred Requirements
- Previous experience in childcare, gymnastics, swimming or working with children in recreational or educational settings
- Knowledge of sports coaching techniques and teaching physical education principles
- Certification or experience in swimming instruction first aid or CPR
- Strong background in childcare or teaching physical activities to youth
- Ability to manage behavior effectively and create an inclusive environment for diverse learners
- Enthusiasm for leading active programs that promote health and fitness among children and teens
- Relevant certifications such as lifeguard training or coaching credentials are a plus
