Summer Laborer – Sports Floor Maintenance Jobs in Chatsworth, CA at Pacific Floor Company, Inc
Location: Southern California (Based out of Chatsworth, CA)
Pacific Floor Company Inc. is hiring motivated individuals for summer positions assisting with the maintenance, refinishing, and installation of gymnasium sports floors throughout Southern California.
This is a hands-on role working on basketball courts and other athletic flooring. No prior experience is required—we will train candidates who are reliable and willing to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with sanding and refinishing gym floors
- Apply finishes and coatings to sports flooring
- Support installation of new gym floors and court artwork
- Operate equipment such as floor buffers (training provided)
- Work efficiently as part of a team on job sites
Requirements:
- Physically Demanding Role: must lift 50+ lbs, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods of time
- Reliable transportation and ability to arrive in Chatsworth by 5:30 AM
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work well with others
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic construction or labor experience
- Experience with power tools or floor equipment (not required)
- Valid driver’s license (a plus)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8–12 hour shifts
- Summer seasonal work (with potential for continued work)
Pay:
- $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
- Some projects may pay up to $80/hour depending on scope and experience
