Job Overview
Join our summer camp team as a Seasonal Summer Camp Supervisor! Camp runs through August 7th. The ideal candidate has multiple years summer camp, teaching experience or is enrolled in a teaching certification program as well as some supervisory experience. MUST have experience working with school age (6-12 years old) is essential!

This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to lead engaging activities, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and inspire children through fun, educational and social experiences. As a Supervisor, you will help oversee daily camp operations, coordinate with staff and parents, and ensure every camper has a memorable summer. Duties

  • Lead and supervise camp activities, ensuring they are safe, inclusive, and aligned with program goals
  • Manage a team of camp counselors and staff, providing guidance, support, and training, behavior management, and childcare best practices.
  • Most counselors are ages 16-23.
  • Ensure the safety of all campers by implementing first aid procedures and maintaining a secure environment at all times
  • Coordinate daily schedules, including sports coaching, arts and crafts, Field trips, and other recreational activities
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding camper progress, behavior, and camp updates
  • Enforce camp policies
  • Maintain detailed records of attendance, incidents, health concerns, and activity outcomes to ensure compliance with safety standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children ages 6-12 in settings such as afterschool programs, summer camps, teaching
  • Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain) prefered
  • Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and children
  • Ability to lead engaging activities
  • Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods

Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
