Responsibilities
- Lead engaging tennis lessons and drills tailored to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring all participants are motivated and involved.
- Develop fun, inclusive activities that promote fundamental tennis skills such as serving, volleying, and rallying while emphasizing sportsmanship and teamwork.
- Supervise campers during outdoor activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and clear communication to maintain a respectful and energetic camp atmosphere.
- Collaborate with other camp staff to coordinate schedules, special events, and multi-sport activities that complement tennis programming.
- Provide basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any safety concerns or emergencies.
- Maintain equipment inventory and ensure the tennis courts are set up properly for daily activities.
Experience
- Prior experience coaching or teaching sports such as tennis and or Pickleball
- Background in childcare or working with children in educational or recreational settings demonstrates your ability to connect with young campers.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster a positive environment is essential.
- Experience in physical education instruction or coaching sports will be advantageous.
- Certifications in sports coaching and first aid/CPR are preferred; training can be provided if necessary. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $16.00 – $25.00 per hour
