Job Summary
Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Summer Camp Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow through engaging activities and meaningful interactions. In this role, you will create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment that fosters childhood development, encourages creativity, and promotes positive behavior. Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor adventures to ensure an engaging experience for all campers.
  • Manage classroom dynamics by implementing effective behavior management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and safety.
  • Provide first aid when necessary, ensuring the health and well-being of campers at all times.
  • Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through tailored activities and personalized attention.
  • Foster a positive environment by encouraging teamwork, inclusivity, and Christian counseling principles where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan daily schedules, monitor camper progress, and maintain a lively camp atmosphere.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise during the camp session.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp programs is highly preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills combined with knowledge of childhood development principles.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead activities in sports coaching, theater arts, or other recreational areas is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Passion for early childhood education and creating a nurturing environment that supports emotional and social growth.

Pay: $15.31 – $17.20 per hour
