Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Leader to oversee and engage children in a fun and safe camp environment. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school
diploma or general equivalency diploma, and one of the following:
(1) Experience working with school-age children, totaling 600 hours;
(2) Documentation of at least 3 credits in child development, education, recreation, or other
field of study focused on children, awarded by a regionally accredited college or university;
(3) Documentation that she or he is a certified coach
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily camp activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
- Develop engaging programs that cater to the interests and needs of campers, including sports, arts and crafts, educational games, and outdoor adventures.
- Foster a supportive environment by encouraging teamwork, communication, and respect among campers.
- Monitor camper behavior and provide guidance to resolve conflicts or issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and camper progress.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure smooth operation of camp activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper participation and any concerns that may arise.
Skills
Ideal candidates will possess a combination of the following skills:
- Experience working with children in various capacities such as babysitting, tutoring, or sports coaching.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid or CPR and Water safety is preferred to ensure camper safety.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with campers, staff, and parents alike.
- Ability to adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of all campers while maintaining an inclusive environment.

Pay: $18.50 – $22.00 per hour
