Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an engaging and fun-filled camp experience. The Camp Counselor will be responsible for supervising and guiding children in various activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a positive environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with youth, a background in education or childcare, and the ability to inspire and motivate campers.
Dates/Time
This position is needed from June 1-July 10. Hours are from approximately 8:15 AM – 4:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Supervise campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities such as sports.
- Provide support and guidance to campers in developing social skills, teamwork, and conflict resolution.
- Assist in behavior management strategies to create a positive camp atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members regarding camper progress and any concerns.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages personal growth and self-confidence among campers.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in daycare, babysitting, or early childhood education is preferred.
- Background in sports coaching or special education is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to educate and motivate children of various ages.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support diverse camper needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
- A genuine love for working with children and creating memorable experiences in a camp setting.
- Must be first aid/CPR certified. (Will make training available that will need to be completed prior to camp starting.)
