Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise children during camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
- Plan and facilitate a variety of recreational activities, including sports, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises
- Manage group behavior with effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols, including classroom management and emergency procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in working with children, including childcare, daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or teaching roles
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain order and foster respectful behavior
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or other extracurricular activities preferred
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a passion for nurturing children’s growth in a fun-filled environment
- Ideal candidate: Junior/Senior in college obtaining degree in elementary or secondary education or teacher on summer break
Pay: $14.00 – $18.00 per hour
