Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise groups of children during daily camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
- Plan and facilitate a variety of recreational activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor adventures
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote respectful and cooperative interactions among campers
- Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any medical or safety concerns following established protocols
- Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance through tailored activities and compassionate guidance
- Foster a positive camp community by encouraging teamwork, inclusivity, and Christian values where appropriate
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about camper progress and any important updates
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, including children with developmental disabilities in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Strong skills in behavior management, early childhood education, and working with diverse learners including those with special education needs
- Ability to lead activities confidently in sports coaching, theater arts, or other recreational disciplines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and connect with children of various ages
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for fostering fun learning experiences in a safe environment

Pay: $20.50 – $22.50 per hour
