🌟 About the Role

As a Camp Counselor, you will play a key role in delivering engaging activities while fostering a fully immersive English-speaking environment. This is a dynamic and hands-on position in a residential setting, where you will support and supervise students throughout the program.

🔎 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily recreational and social activities for groups of students.
  • Plan and deliver engaging workshops and games, including sports, arts & crafts, theatre, music, dance, and more.
  • Encourage campers to communicate in English as much as possible throughout the day.
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and positive behaviour of all participants at all times.
  • Act as a role model, mentor, mediator, and support figure in a 24-hour residential environment.
  • Supervise students during meal times and in shared spaces.
  • Accompany students on the bus transfer from Madrid to the camp venue and back.
  • Coordinate volunteer pick-ups and drop-offs in Madrid.

📅 Availability: 1 to 4 weeks during the month of July.

💼 Contract & Benefits

  • Spanish employment contract (Spanish Social Security number required).
  • Mandatory in-person training in Madrid prior to camp.
  • Accommodation provided for the airport pick-up night.
  • Training night accommodation at candidate’s own expense.
  • Full board and accommodation provided during camp.

✅ Requirements

  • Must have a native English level or have a bilingual level (mandatory).
  • EU citizenship or valid work permit for Spain.
  • Valid Criminal Record Certificate allowing you to work with minors (e.g., DBS/CRB, Garda Vetting, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working with children (1–3 years preferred).
  • Camp experience is highly valued. Teaching experience may be required for some programs.

– Additional skills are a plus: sports, dance, music, theatre, yoga, arts & crafts, etc.
