Duties
- Supervise and engage children in a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, dance, chorus, and outdoor games
- Ensure the safety of all campers by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining vigilant supervision
- Manage group behavior through positive reinforcement, management techniques, and conflict resolution
- Provide first aid when necessary and communicate effectively with parents and staff about camper needs or incidents
- Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities that support childhood development and early childhood education principles
- Support campers by applying inclusive teaching strategies and behavior management techniques
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages teamwork and respect
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp programs is highly desirable
- Knowledge of classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred to ensure safety during camp activities
- Background in teaching, special education, or early childhood education will enhance your ability to support diverse learners
- Experience in sports coaching, dance, or childcare roles demonstrates versatility and leadership potential
- Strong communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members are essential for success in this role
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
