Position Description: The Student Success Coordinator supports the successful inclusion of all children by coaching staff in effective behavior strategies and reducing barriers to participation across school-age care and early childhood programs. This role is designed to strengthen staff capacity, improve student outcomes, and promote consistent, inclusive practices program-wide by building strong relationships with families and community support.
Staff Coaching & Capacity Building: Provide targeted behavioral support and coaching to staff to increase their competency in using behavior interventions.
Behavioral Strategy Implementation: Lead the high-fidelity implementation of inclusion models and other consistent behavioral/success strategies across departments.
Crisis Intervention & De-escalation: Collaborating with classroom teams to design and refine individualized de-escalation plans that align with both student needs and existing classroom workflows.
Advocating for Accessibility: Identify participation hurdles and implement supports that prevent behavioral exclusions, ensuring all students remain successfully enrolled.
Family & Community Engagement: Provide staff with practical tools to foster meaningful family connections and leverage external community support(s) for comprehensive student success. When appropriate, participate in family meetings as needed to review and support child progress.
Data-Driven Support: Track student progress with a focus on reducing safety incidents and improving children’s self-regulation and active engagement in daily routines. Collect and monitor classroom data. Assess the use and implementation of individual de-escalation plans.
Other duties as assigned
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am-4pm.
Requirements: Requires a minimum of a four (4) year degree in sports management, facilities management, recreation, leisure services, park and recreation, horticulture, or related field, and a minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education/experience necessary to perform the requirements of the position
Compensation: Salary and benefits are pursuant to the Community Education Supervisors and Coordinators Terms and Conditions of Employment starting at $57,601 to $70,314 depending upon qualifications.
Position Start Date: July 1, 2026
