Strength & Conditioning Coach / Personal Trainer – Full-Time Career Opportunity Jobs in Dripping Springs, TX at – 5383

This Isn’t Your Average Gym Job.

If you’re looking for a few coaching hours each week in exchange for a free membership, this probably isn’t the role for you.

We’re Hill Country MVMT—a family-owned strength and conditioning gym in Dripping Springs, Texas. Since 2019, we’ve helped everyday adults become stronger, healthier, and more capable through exceptional coaching, meaningful relationships, and a community that genuinely cares.

Our mission is simple: Move Well. Move Often.

We’re looking for a professional coach who wants to build a long-term career in fitness—not just pick up shifts between other jobs.

This position is designed to grow into a full-time coaching career built around personal training, small group coaching, member development, and specialty services.

If you believe coaching is a profession—not just a workout—you’ll fit right in.

Who We Coach

Our members aren’t professional athletes.

They’re parents.

Business owners.

Busy professionals.

Active retirees.

Women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, peri- and post-menopause.

Youth athletes.

Weekend warriors.

People recovering confidence after years away from exercise.

Every one of them deserves thoughtful coaching, genuine encouragement, and someone who sees the person—not just the program.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 90 days, you’ll be working toward:

  • Coaching approximately 7–10 small group classes each week
  • Training 8–12 recurring personal training clients
  • Leading MVMT Prep Course onboarding sessions for new members
  • Conducting Goal Review appointments and InBody assessments
  • Building lasting relationships with members through consistent follow-up
  • Completing administrative responsibilities accurately and on time
  • Contributing to a culture of professionalism, continuous improvement, and exceptional member experiences

If nutrition coaching and behavior change are areas you’re passionate about, there are opportunities to grow into those specialties as well.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal coach is:

  • Passionate about strength and conditioning—not simply fitness
  • Reliable, professional, and consistently prepared
  • Confident coaching both individuals and groups
  • Humble enough to receive feedback and committed enough to apply it
  • Detail-oriented and capable of following systems
  • Comfortable building relationships with people of all ages and fitness levels
  • A team-first professional who genuinely cares about helping others succeed

We value coaches who communicate well, solve problems proactively, and take pride in doing the little things right.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science, or another health-related field
  • NSCA CSCS, ACSM CPT, NASM CPT, or equivalent nationally recognized certification
  • Current CPR/AED & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before employment)
  • Strong understanding of resistance training, movement mechanics, and coaching fundamentals

Strongly Preferred:

  • At least one year of experience coaching both personal training clients and small groups
  • Experience coaching with barbells, Olympic lifts, kettlebells, and functional strength training
  • Comfortable coaching movement quality—not simply leading workouts

Schedule Expectations

We’re specifically looking for someone who can consistently coach:

  • Lunch and early afternoon hours Monday through Friday
  • Evening coaching shifts
  • Occasional Saturdays (rotating schedule)
  • Morning class coverage as needed

Our coaching schedules vary week to week based on client demand, so flexibility is important.

Responsibilities

  • Coach safe, engaging, and well-organized personal training appointments
  • Lead high-quality small group strength and conditioning classes
  • Onboard new members through our MVMT Prep Course
  • Conduct Goal Reviews and InBody appointments
  • Provide movement coaching, accountability, education, and encouragement
  • Track member progress and communicate effectively with the coaching team
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility
  • Represent Hill Country MVMT with professionalism both inside and outside the gym

This Job Is Probably NOT For You If…

  • You’re looking for a side hustle or hobby.
  • You want free gym access more than a coaching career.
  • You prefer entertaining classes over teaching movement standards.
  • You dislike giving or receiving constructive feedback.
  • You’re uncomfortable coaching beginners, older adults, or people managing injuries or chronic health conditions.
  • You have experience only in large-group fitness environments such as cycling studios, kickboxing gyms, or choreographed fitness classes.
  • You’re unwilling to continue learning and developing as a coach.

Why Coaches Choose Hill Country MVMT

As our team expands, so do opportunities to specialize in areas such as:

  • Personal Training
  • Nutrition Coaching
  • Women’s Health/Fitness
  • Youth Performance
  • Active Aging

We’re committed to helping the right person build a meaningful career—not simply fill coaching hours.
