We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and commercially driven Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager to lead our retail operations and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for driving sales performance, maximising store profitability, leading and developing your team, and ensuring operational excellence in line with JD Sports standards.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service to drive customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Ensure customers receive professional, friendly, and efficient service throughout their shopping experience.
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Drive consistency across the team to achieve the highest customer service standards.
- Maintain high grooming and presentation standards for all store team members.
- Develop a strong understanding of JD Sports' Customer Service Measurement Programme (Observation Checklist) and ensure compliance.
Sales & Commercial Performance
- Drive sales performance to achieve and exceed store sales targets, KPIs, and profitability.
- Analyse Oracle reports, including Wall Sales Report, Branch Review Report, Top Sales Report, and other retail reports to support commercial decision-making.
- Monitor and analyse Trade Review Reports, including footfall, Average Transaction Value (ATV), conversion rate, and sales trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maximise sales opportunities through effective use of in-store digital devices and kiosks.
- Ensure product availability, stock accuracy, and effective inventory management to support sales performance.
- Support promotional activities and execute company initiatives to drive business growth.
Visual Merchandising
- Execute weekly visual merchandising briefs while maintaining JD Sports' visual standards.
- Apply the latest visual merchandising techniques to attract customers and maximise sales opportunities.
- Ensure all new arrivals, promotional products, and featured merchandise are displayed correctly and prominently.
- Maintain accurate pricing, promotional signage, POS materials, and product displays.
- Ensure mannequins, displays, windows, and store fixtures are updated in accordance with company guidelines.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and store presentation standards at all times.
People Leadership, Training & Development
- Lead, motivate, and inspire the store team to achieve business objectives.
- Develop existing team members and support internal career progression.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, training meetings, and performance discussions.
- Monitor staff training progress and ensure completion of all required e-learning modules, assessments, and development programmes.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, induction, and succession planning for the store.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture.
Store Operations
- Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations while maintaining company policies and procedures.
- Support effective rostering and workforce planning to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, loss prevention procedures, and operational audits.
- Maintain accurate operational records and ensure all store administration is completed in a timely manner.
- Drive operational excellence while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.

Essential
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail operations, with supervisory or management experience.
- Proven experience managing a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Passion for retail, customer service, and developing high-performing teams.
- Commercially driven with a strong understanding of sales performance and KPI management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate, influence, and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret retail reports and make informed business decisions.

- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to effectively engage with customers, store teams, and business stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience within sports, fashion, or lifestyle retail industries.
- Familiarity with Oracle reporting systems and retail operational tools.
- Experience working in KPI-driven retail environments.
