Position: Sports Therapist (minimum of EMFAiF)

Location: Imperial Fields/Plough Lane, Wimbledon

AFC Wimbledon Women is part of the AFC Wimbledon family – owned by the fans, for the fans.

The team play in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division, the third tier of women’s football.

We train at Tooting & Mitcham United FC’s Imperial Fields (currently Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7pm to 10pm), and our home games are split between Imperial Fields, and the Cherry Red Records Stadium, Plough Lane. Away fixtures are played across the south of England. Games are played on Sundays, with the occasional midweek fixture.

We are looking to recruit a part-time Head of Medical to join our team. The successful candidate would work alongside our football and support staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate player injuries
  • Design and implement individual rehabilitation programmes
  • Maintain accurate confidential medical records and injury reports
  • Provide pitch‑side medical support at all matches and training
  • Manage on‑field emergencies and acute injuries
  • Work closely with coaches and S&C staff on player availability and load management

ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

  • EMFAiF (Level 3 Emergency Medical First Aid in Football) (essential)
  • Experience working in women’s football (preferred)
  • Commitment to schedule
  • Registered member of the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or full member of The Society of Sports Therapy (BASRaT)

COMPENSATION

The successful candidate will be paid £1,026 per month. They will also receive kit and equipment as necessary for the undertaking of the role.
