Within Lenovo’s Solutions Services Group (SSG), we are looking for an experienced Sports Senior Program Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-impact sports events. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ensuring seamless operations and strong client satisfaction. You will play a key role in driving performance and delivering world-class event experiences. You will report to our Director of SSG Sports Vertical.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex sports events/programs, ensuring smooth operations from planning to execution
  • Track and report on project KPIs, SLAs, milestones, risks, and overall performance
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients (including CIO/CTO level), managing expectations and satisfaction
  • Identify risks and issues, implementing mitigation plans with both internal teams and customers
  • Oversee financials, including budgeting, cost control, margin management, billing, and contractual changes
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (sales, delivery, HR, legal, finance) and manage external vendors and suppliers
  • Handle logistics and operations, including travel arrangements, accommodation, visas, and on-site security coordination
  • Conduct post-event reviews, capture lessons learned, and develop reusable playbooks for continuous improvement

Key Competencies Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience managing complex tech projects (events or smart venues)
  • Strong project management skills, able to plan and deliver large-scale projects, certifications (PRINCE2, PMI, Six Sigma) and ITIL Foundation welcome
  • Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to last-minute changes
  • Clear communicator, confident with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Highly organized with good time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Detail-oriented with solid negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English, open to frequent international travel
