JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Sports Program Coordinator to lead and manage dynamic sports activities and events across our school and community locations throughout Northern Nassau County. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and supervision of TGA’s youth sports programs, including golf, tennis, and pickleball ensuring an engaging and inclusive experience for children of all ages and skill levels.
The ideal candidate is a natural athlete and natural leader who brings passion for youth development, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities with confidence. As a key member of the TGA team, you will foster a positive, active environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, health, and community spirit through well-organized sports programming.
DUTIES
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee youth sports programs across school and community sites
- Lead and supervise coaches and volunteers across multiple locations
- Manage scheduling, equipment setup, venue prep, and safety protocols
- Serve as primary point of contact for school coordinators, parents, and partners
- Represent TGA at school events, PTA meetings, and community outreach
- Maintain records including attendance, session reports, and safety incidents
- Manage enrollment tracking, parent communications, and program updates
- Support social media content capture and seasonal program planning
- Ensure safety protocols and supervision ratios are maintained at all times
- Oversee cash handling during registration and events
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Sports Management, Education, Kinesiology, Recreation, or related field recent graduates welcome
- Natural athlete with knowledge of at least one TGA sport: tennis, pickleball, or golf
- Experience managing sports programs or events in a community or school setting
- Leadership or supervisory experience, hospitality, events, or recreation a plus
- Strong communication skills with children, parents, and school administrators
- Organized and self-directed with ability to manage multiple sites independently
- Reliable personal transportation required, multi-site role across Nassau County
- Genuine passion for youth development and creating positive experiences for kids
Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
