Responsibilities
- Enforce game rules and regulations accurately and consistently during sporting events.
- Make quick, fair decisions on plays, fouls, and disputes to maintain the integrity of the game.
- Communicate effectively with players, coaches, officials, and spectators to ensure smooth event flow.
- Manage conflicts or disagreements on the field or court with professionalism and tact.
- Monitor safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all participants.
- Assist in setting up equipment and preparing the playing area prior to events.
- Provide guidance and support to young athletes and participants, especially children, fostering a positive sporting experience.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of basketball rules and sports officiating standards.
- Experience in sports coaching or officiating roles is highly desirable.
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle disputes calmly and effectively.
- Superior communication skills to clearly articulate decisions and instructions.
