Position Overview
Modern Sports Medicine is expanding in the Phoenix metro and is seeking a Sports Medicine or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician with a strong interest in regenerative medicine and non-operative orthopedics.
This is an opportunity to build a highly procedural, autonomy-driven practice focused on advanced biologic and interventional treatments for both peripheral joints and spine. With 9 established clinics and 3 additional locations in development, physicians benefit from immediate patient access and consistent demand—allowing for rapid ramp-up and high productivity.
What You’ll Do
- Perform comprehensive orthopedic evaluations and initial patient workups
- Utilize diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound for evaluation and procedural guidance
- Perform a wide range of procedures, including:
- Regenerative medicine treatments (PRP, platelet lysate, bone marrow aspirate, prolotherapy, and related biologics)
- Viscosupplementation
- Corticosteroid injections
- Durable Medical Equipment (DME) prescribing and management
- Develop and manage non-operative treatment plans for musculoskeletal conditions
- (Preferred) Perform spine procedures, including regenerative and interventional techniques
Ideal Candidate
- Board-certified or board-eligible in PM&R, Sports Medicine, or related field
- Strong interest in or experience with regenerative medicine (PRP, BMAC, prolotherapy, platelet lysate, etc.)
- Comfortable performing or motivated to develop ultrasound-guided procedures
- Interest in treating both peripheral joint and spine conditions
- Thrives in a high-autonomy, performance-based environment
Compensation & Structure
- 50% of collections compensation model
- Physicians typically generate $300–$500+ per hour, depending on volume, efficiency, and procedural mix
