Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, assisting with inquiries, and offering product recommendations.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Supervise store operations, ensuring that all staff members adhere to company policies and provide excellent service.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers.
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing store through effective merchandising strategies.
- Stock shelves and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Utilize strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively, including those who are bilingual.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and etiquette.
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, ideally within a grocery store or similar environment.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in a retail setting.
- Proficiency in cash handling and familiarity with retail math concepts.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear interactions with customers and team members.
- Experience in merchandising and stocking practices to maintain store presentation standards.
