Role Description The Sports Coach at OnThree Sporting Solutions is a full-time, on-site role based in the City of Cape Town. In this role, the coach will plan and deliver age-appropriate training sessions, focusing on skill development, physical conditioning, and tactical awareness. The coach will monitor athlete progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust training programs to meet individual and team needs. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with other coaches and specialists, maintaining a safe and inclusive training environment, and preparing athletes for practices, competitions, and academy events. The Sports Coach will also communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and staff to align expectations and support long-term athletic development.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Physical Education and Sports Training, with the ability to design and implement effective training programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in Coaching and Sports Coaching, including planning sessions and managing athlete development.
  • Excellent Communication skills for engaging with athletes, colleagues, and stakeholders in a clear and supportive manner.
  • Relevant certification or diploma in sports science, coaching, physical education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse age groups and skill levels in a team or academy environment.
  • Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating training environment aligned with organizational standards.
  • Knowledge of injury prevention principles and willingness to collaborate with physiotherapists and biokineticists.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends as required by training and competition schedules.
