The Orrville Area Boys & Girls Club is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and community-minded individual to serve as our next Athletic Director. This position provides leadership and oversight for all youth sports programs while building strong relationships with local schools, coaches, volunteers, families, and community partners.
Position Summary
The Athletic Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all athletic programs offered through the Orrville Area Boys & Girls Club. This individual will work closely with local school districts and community organizations to provide quality athletic opportunities that promote sportsmanship, skill development, and positive experiences for youth participants.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all youth sports programs, leagues, camps, and tournaments.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteer coaches and program staff.
- Collaborate with local schools, athletic departments, and community organizations.
- Coordinate schedules, facilities, equipment, registrations, and league operations.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, participants, and volunteers.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.
- Assist with budgeting, fundraising efforts, and program growth.
- Manage communication through email, social media, websites, and other platforms.
- Coordinate special events, recognition programs, and tournaments.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, schools, and community partners.
- Experience in athletics, recreation, education, or youth development preferred.
- Experience supervising programs, volunteers, or staff is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs and communication platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass all required background checks.
Schedule
This position requires a flexible schedule. Most work hours occur during evenings and weekends, with daytime hours varying based on seasonal programming and administrative responsibilities.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $45,000–$58,000 annually
- Benefits package available based on organizational policies
