Role Description
The Sports Agent will be responsible for representing African basketball players, negotiating contracts, and facilitating their placements in U.S. universities and leagues around the world. The role includes building relationships with athletes, coaches, and university representatives, ensuring player success both on and off the court, and providing comprehensive career guidance. The agent will also work to identify new talent and market opportunities for athletes.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Sports Management, with a passion for player development and career growth.
- Skills in Sales and Customer Service, with experience negotiating contracts and managing relationships.
- Proven ability in Team Leadership and fostering collaboration among athletes, coaches, and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in multicultural environments and an understanding of the African basketball landscape is a plus.
- LLM or JD is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with NCAA regulations and athletic scholarships is advantageous.
