Sports After-School Coach/Instructor at Christian Private School Jobs in McLean at GamPoint Athletics
We are looking for a team of coaches that are passionate about leading a sports/PE type after-school class at Ambleside School near Tyson’s Corner, VA in the Fall, 2026. Candidates must have experience working with kids in some sports-related job/field, passionate about communicating Biblical values, sharing the Gospel, and able to lead kids in a variety of super fun sports activities. No need to be an expert or proficient in any one sport! Class will be very introductory for kids and you’ll be trained on pre-written lesson plans, procedures, etc. Candidates must have great classroom management skills.
We are hiring a team of coaches to lead 2 classes that will happen simultaneously (a K-3rd grade class and a 4th-8th grade class)
When: Tuesdays, 3:40 – 4:40 (coaches show up no later than 3:25)
Dates: September 8th – November 10 (10 classes over 10 weeks)
This is the class description for parents:
"Students will enjoy a robust after-school sports/PE curriculum that is designed for maximum participation, is both fun and exciting, and also works to improve basic fundamental sports skills and concepts. Students will experience a wide range of classical sports such as basketball, flag football, soccer, floor/field hockey, pickle ball, badminton, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, wiffle ball, lacrosse, etc. Students will also experience modern and classic PE games such as parachute, extreme kickball, Omni-kin ball, tchoukball, capture the jewels, tag games, and many more! Even more important than athletics or sports is the character training instilled through our lessons. GamePoint Athletics believes athletics offer a rich training ground for building Chirst-like character. This is why our coaches incorporate Christian character training with biblical references throughout every lesson. Our curriculum is written for the competitive athlete in mind but also for the child that just wants to have fun in a emotionally supportive environment with friends."
We also hire for other classes around Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, and Arlington counties. Often coaches we hire for one class end up working on different days in different locations – but that is not required. Just a thought! God Bless!
