About: Bucketsquad is a fast-growing basketball apparel brand dedicated to creating clothing and products loved by basketball athletes and fans of the sport. We're building a movement that celebrates basketball culture and are founded and led by YouTube’s largest basketball creator, Jesser (36M subscribers, 2x Streamy Sports Creator of the Year).
Position Overview: We're seeking a dynamic Social Media Manager who lives and breathes basketball culture and can translate our brand's energy into scroll-stopping content. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller who can make our brand voice resonate across multiple platforms while driving engagement, growth and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute against a comprehensive social media calendar across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms
- Create engaging, high-quality content that captures the essence of basketball culture and Bucketsquad's brand identity
- Manage daily social media operations, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement
- Develop and manage influencer partnerships within the basketball community
- Track and analyze social media metrics, providing monthly performance reports and strategic recommendations
- Collaborate with design, marketing, and product teams to ensure consistent brand messaging
- Create trending, viral-potential content that showcases our apparel in authentic basketball contexts
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in social media management, preferably in the fashion/apparel or DTC industry (sports industry experience is a plus)
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred
- Proven track record of growing social media audiences and driving engagement
- Exceptional content creation skills with video editing and photography abilities
- Deep understanding of men’s fashion, basketball culture and current social media trends
- Proficiency in social media management tools (Hootsuite, Later, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in social media performance metrics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment
Technical Requirements:
- Proficient in Premier Pro or other similar editing platforms
- Advanced smartphone video and photo skills
- Ability to deliver high quality work, quickly, in a dynamic organization under time pressure
- Must possess strong writing skills
- Detail-oriented and possess excellent project management skills.
