Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000
Position Summary
Carbitex is seeking a creative, strategic, and highly organized Social Media & Content Specialist to lead and grow our social media presence across multiple digital platforms. This role will manage day-to-day content creation, publishing, community engagement, and analytics while helping establish Carbitex as the leading voice in flexible carbon fiber technology for the footwear industry.
As a B2B2C ingredient brand, Carbitex occupies a unique position in the market. Our technology powers products from leading footwear brands, requiring content that speaks both to industry professionals and performance-minded consumers. Success in this role requires the ability to translate complex scientific and engineering concepts into engaging, audience-focused content.
This position will also play a key role in launching and growing Carbitex's influencer and creator program, building relationships with footwear experts, biomechanists, sports medicine professionals, and other trusted voices within the industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and publish engaging content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, and future social platforms.
- Develop and maintain a strategic, multi-platform content calendar aligned with marketing initiatives and product launches.
- Write compelling, platform-specific copy that reflects Carbitex's brand voice and technical credibility.
- Design and produce on-brand graphic assets for social posts, carousels, and campaign content using brand guidelines and design tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Figma.
- Build, launch, and manage the company's influencer and creator partnership program.
- Engage with online communities through comments, direct messages, and proactive audience interaction.
- Monitor social media trends and recommend opportunities for increased engagement and brand visibility.
- Track key performance metrics and prepare regular analytics reports with actionable insights.
- Collaborate with the VP of Marketing and company leadership to ensure technical accuracy of content prior to publication.
- Coordinate social media efforts with partner brands and support co-marketing initiatives.
- Assist with coverage of trade shows, product launches, and industry events.
- Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
- Coursework or demonstrated interest in science communication, biomechanics, sports performance, or related fields.
Experience
Required
- Two to three years of experience managing social media accounts for a company, agency, or organization.
Preferred
- Experience supporting B2B organizations, ingredient branding, sports or performance products, or other technical consumer goods.
- Experience developing influencer or creator partnership programs.

Technical Skills
Experience with:
- Social media management platforms: HubSpot, Later, Sprout Social, or similar
- Graphic design software: Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Figma
- Video editing software: CapCut or similar
- Microsoft 365
- Social media analytics and reporting tools
Physical Requirements
This position regularly requires:
- Sitting for extended periods
- Frequent computer and keyboard use
- Viewing computer monitors for prolonged periods

This position is primarily performed in a remote office environment. Employees regularly use computers, video conferencing platforms, and creative software.

Travel
Occasional travel (approximately 10–15%) is required to attend trade shows, product launches, and industry events.
A valid driver's license is required.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday during normal business hours
- Flexible scheduling with manager approval
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for product launches, live events, or timely social media engagement
