A soccer referee is responsible for overseeing matches to ensure they are played fairly and in accordance with the rules of the game. They enforce the laws of soccer, make accurate decisions regarding fouls, goals, and penalties, and maintain control of the game. Referees also manage player behavior, communicate with coaches and assistants, and handle disputes or incidents on the field. Their role is essential in maintaining the flow and integrity of the game, ensuring safety, and delivering a fair playing experience for all participants.
This is a very easy world to get into. We provide training and once completed, you can make some great money, get some exercise and set your own schedule.
Many referees make $100-600 a weekend working 3-8 hours over the course of 2 days. Pay varies based on the age and level of game as well as the position you referee. (Center or Assistant Referee)
There are opportunities to advance to higher level and thus higher paying games. (High School, College, etc)
