VOLTA Soccer Training Center is a fast-growing, technology-driven soccer training facility with locations in Yorktown, NY and Stamford, CT, with additional locations opening in 2026.
Our centers specialize in high-repetition, high-intensity training for players ages 5-16. Powered by our proprietary SmartField technology and led by experienced coaches, VOLTA delivers a unique training experience focused on maximizing player development through measurable performance, individualized feedback, and thousands of touches per session.
Position Overview
VOLTA Soccer Training Center is seeking a motivated and experienced Soccer Operations Manager & Head Coach to oversee the daily operations, coaching, and growth of our facility.
This hybrid leadership role combines coaching and player development (55%) with operations, administration, and business development (45%).
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, passionate about youth soccer, and capable of leading both player development and day-to-day facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Player Development
- Lead high-quality SmartField training sessions focused on technical development and player engagement.
- Deliver private training sessions, clinics, camps, and specialty programs.
- Provide players with consistent feedback, encouragement, and individualized coaching.
- Ensure consistency with VOLTA’s training methodology, curriculum, and performance standards.
- Support, mentor, and train coaching staff to maintain a high standard of instruction across all programs.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of VOLTA’s training curriculum and coaching resources.
Operations, Administration & Business Development
- Manage scheduling, memberships, staffing, and program coordination to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Support marketing initiatives and seasonal campaigns to drive memberships, camps, rentals, and birthday party bookings.
- Manage lead follow-up through phone calls, emails, text messages, and CRM outreach to increase trial bookings and membership conversions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for members and families, providing outstanding customer service and communication.
- Monitor attendance, membership, and program performance data to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.
- Assist with member retention, community outreach, and local partnership initiatives to support center growth.
Requirements
- Former college or professional soccer player, or 3+ years of coaching and/or managing competitive youth soccer programs.
- Proven ability to coach and develop youth players in a structured training environment.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and leadership skills.
- Experience in a soccer club, training center, sports facility, or similar environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience with youth soccer or sports facilities.
- Marketing, outreach, or event planning experience.
