Summer Camp Soccer Coach
Location: Port Charlotte, North Port, Venice and Sarasota, Florida
Job Type: Seasonal, Part-time
Pay: $20.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience
FC Way is expanding its youth soccer programming across Southwest Florida, and we are looking for enthusiastic coaches to join our team for the 2026 summer camp season.
FC Way is a recreational soccer organization built around a simple idea: children learn best when they feel confident, supported and excited to play. Our camps combine soccer instruction with games, creativity and plenty of fun. We care about developing the whole child—not only technical ability, but also confidence, communication, teamwork and a genuine love for the game.
This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with children, has a strong soccer background and wants to grow as a coach. Previous coaching experience is welcome but not required. Entry-level coaches will receive guidance, access to the FC Way curriculum and hands-on mentorship from our experienced coaching staff and Italian Technical Director.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and assist with fun, age-appropriate soccer sessions and camp activities
- Teach fundamental skills through games, challenges and small-sided play
- Create a positive, pressure-free environment where every child feels included
- Keep players engaged while adapting activities to different ages and ability levels
- Supervise children throughout the camp day, including arrival, breaks and dismissal
- Set up, organize and take down soccer equipment
- Communicate professionally with parents, fellow coaches and camp staff
- Encourage teamwork, good sportsmanship, confidence and respectful behavior
- Follow FC Way’s curriculum, safety procedures and child-protection policies
- Arrive on time, prepared and ready to contribute to the entire camp experience
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine interest in working with children
- A strong understanding of soccer through playing, coaching or both
- Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude
- Confidence leading and communicating with groups of children
- Patience and the ability to remain encouraging when children lose focus
- Willingness to learn, study and accept feedback from senior coaches
- Ability to work outdoors and remain physically active throughout the camp day
- Reliable transportation to assigned camp locations
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred, but Not Required
- Previous experience in soccer coaching, camps, education or childcare
- CPR or First Aid certification
- US Soccer or another recognized coaching qualification

Schedule and Locations
This is a seasonal summer position beginning immediately. Camps will be held in Port Charlotte, North Port, Venice and Sarasota. Coaches may work at one or more locations depending on camp schedules and availability.
Most hours will be during weekday daytime summer camp programming. Additional coaching opportunities may be available based on performance, availability and local programming needs.
