Position Overview
As a Snowsports Instructor, you will provide group and/or individual ski and snowboard instruction to students of varying ages and ability levels, with a focus on creating a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment. Heiliger Huegel is a private, members-only ski club and lessons are available only to members and guests of members.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver ski and snowboard instruction to beginner and intermediate participants
- Support skill development through structured, encouraging lessons
- Ensure safety and adherence to ski area policies
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and program staff
- Represent the club in a professional and welcoming manner
Schedule
Employment as a Snowsports Instructor requires at least 1 weekend day of availability (Saturday or Sunday) during the snowsports season. The season typically begins in early- to mid-December and runs through early March. Preference will be given to candidates with greater availability to teach both days of the weekend and/or weekday evenings.
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 16
- Intermediate to advanced skiing or snowboarding ability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable and team-oriented
- Prior teaching experience preferred but not required
Training & Development
Heiliger Huegel Ski School is affiliated with PSIA-AASI (Professional Ski Instructors of America – American Association of Snowboard Instructors). We provide training and support for instructors pursuing PSIA/AASI certification.
