Position: Skate Instructor for NVRC Programs
Join North Vancouver Recreation & Culture as a Skate Instructor. Deliver unforgettable skating experiences while assisting children and adults with their skating skills in a fun, engaging environment.
As a Skate Instructor, you’ll play a key role in creating positive experiences for community members. You will prepare lesson plans and instruct at various times, primarily evenings and weekends. A passion for skating and teaching, as well as a commitment to customer service, is essential for this casual position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct skating lessons tailored to various skill levels
• Prepare engaging lesson plans for classes
• Check and maintain equipment functionality
• Provide exemplary service to all lesson attendees
• Adapt to different time slots as required
Requirements:
• Standard First Aid certification required
• HIGH FIVE Certification desirable or obtain it within 3 months
• Experience in teaching or skating instruction an asset
• Must be flexible with working hours
• Police Information Check needed for all candidates
