Connectedness Departments are truly interconnected to support the mission and vision of the Rockford Park District. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned
* Instructs participants on the fundamentals of ice skating and hockey in a safe, friendly and professional manner.
* Based on experience, instructors may teach any one in any one of the following tracts:
* Beginning level skating
* Beginning level hockey
* Recreational skating
* Intermediate level hockey
* Figure skating lessons
* Adult skate lessons
* Communicates with participants at all times, providing regular feedback on participant performance.
* Tracks progress and completes participant report cards.
* Maintains open communication lines with Skating and Hockey Programmer & Director regarding participant progress
* Assist with any special events taking place within the Ice Facilities (i.e. public skate lessons, set-up/tear down based on event needs)
* Assists as needed at registration table prior to the beginning of each lesson.
* Utilize the Rockford Park District’s HRIS system for all HR and payroll-related requirements and to accurately clock in and out for all shifts.
* Follows all facility and operational safety precautions.
* Attends all regularly scheduled staff meetings
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
