Join Nike EHQ as a Senior Merchant, Nike Direct Merchandising and play a key role in shaping premium consumer-right assortments for Nike Digital across EMEA.
In this role, you will lead seasonal assortment creation and merchandising strategies for a complex business area within Basketball & Training. You will combine consumer insights, marketplace trends, and business performance data to build compelling assortments that inspire athletes, drive digital growth, and elevate the consumer experience across Nike Direct.
This is a temporary assignment running until 31 January 2027
What are you going to do?
- Lead the development and execution of seasonal assortments for Nike Digital Basketball & Training across EMEA
- Build consumer-right assortments and define product distribution, flow, and merchandising plans across Nike Direct channels
- Partner closely with Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, and Digital Platform teams to bring seasonal strategies to life
- Translate consumer, marketplace, and performance insights into actionable assortment recommendations and business opportunities
- Drive pre-season business planning and present seasonal strategies, assortment plans, and key recommendations to stakeholders
- Monitor in-season performance, leverage retail data, and execute read-and-react actions to maximize business results
- Influence future product line plans by identifying opportunities, risks, and emerging consumer trends

What do we ask?
We're looking for a consumer-focused merchandising professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, has a passion for product, and excels at building strong cross-functional partnerships.
A successful candidate brings:
- Approximately 5 years of experience in Merchandising, Retail Buying, Planning, or a related field
- Strong understanding of merchandising fundamentals, assortment creation, and retail financial drivers
- Proven ability to build consumer-right assortments based on insights, trends, and performance data
- Strong retail and commercial acumen with experience analyzing KPIs and translating data into action
- Excellent presentation, storytelling, and communication skills
- Experience influencing and managing relationships across multiple stakeholder groups
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and merchandising/reporting tools
- Consumer-centric mindset with strong trend awareness and a passion for sport, preferably with an affinity for Basketball
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and seasons simultaneously
