JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Marketing & Communication Manager who lives outdoor sports and can own our marketing and content end to end.
We’re looking for skiers, climbers, and trekkers working in Marketing and Communication who are tired of building products they do not truly care about.
This is your chance to play a key role in building a successful brand in the outdoor sports industry.
This is your chance to be involved in mountain sports every day, on and off the weekend.
Here is what to expect from the job:
- Brand building: work closely with the founding team to define the next initiatives that will make Mapo Tapo the coolest outdoor brand out there.
- Strategy → execution: you define the marketing and communication strategy and drive it all the way to production (content and initiatives).
- Partnerships & stories: you’ll grow collaborations with athletes, influencers, guides, and brands to create standout stories for the community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Some of the key job functions of this position include:
- OWN the Top-of-the-funnel company strategy and metrics.
- Define consistent brand guidelines and Tone of Voice.
- Plan and execute a detailed PED.
- Plan and execute promotional efforts and events.
- Produce and edit (or find collaborators to edit) content for different channels (Instagram, Blog, Email).
- Establish and maintain partnerships with athletes, ambassadors, guides and other brands.
REQUIREMENTS
- Work Experience: 2+ years of experience working on Marketing & Communication.
- Outdoor Experience: you actively practice at least two mountain-related sports, for 30–40+ days per year.
- Creative freedom: you thrive with high ownership, experimentation, and room to try new initiatives.
- Creative + technical: you’re strong on key marketing fundamentals and comfortable with graphic design and basic video editing (e.g., Canva or similar tools).
- Proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams with a high degree of flexibility.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Italian optional but recommended), along with an entrepreneurial spirit—essential for thriving in an unstructured environment.
DETAILS
📍 Location: Milan, Italy (hybrid)
💰 Compensation: 24-40K RAL (Gross) depending on the experience.
