SENIOR MANAGER SPECIALIZED FINANCING
Reporting to the Director, Business Centre of Expertise and supporting the Business & Agriculture (B & Ag) teams, this role provides underwriting and portfolio management support for specialized complex borrowing accounts between $3-10M and other specialized solutions. The primary focus is to assess risk and profitability, underwrite credit, maintain accounts, and ensure optimum customer service is provided. The Senior Manager works collaboratively with the sales force to jointly manage the customer relationship and to maximize new opportunities from within the managed portfolio.
You will find success based on your abilities in the following areas:
Associate Experience:
· On a daily basis this position works collaboratively with the members of B&Ag teams which include Directors, Relationship Managers, B&Ag Advisors, to support sound lending practices and ensure customer expectations and needs are met. This position also works with Business and Corporate credit, Corporate Financial Services, TAG and Asset Management. This position has daily contact with customers ensuring their needs are understood and the appropriate credit, deposit and/or value add service is offered. Works with the Specialized Financing Support Representative.
· Partner with representatives from across the lines of business (CFS, ATBIS, RFS, etc) to uncover client needs and to ensure that they are dealing with the best advisor to support their requirements.
Customer Experience:
· Develop a detailed understanding of the solutions/offerings of partners within ATB and update clients on benefits and applications to their business.
· Works directly with the RMs within assigned B & Ag teams to analyze financial statements, assess risk and determine which ATB Financial products and services best meet the needs of the customer to enhance the customer experience and manage risk.
Business Results / Business Performance:
· Proactively identify and refer additional opportunities generated from customer analysis and inquiries to B & Ag sales team or other ATB lines of business.
· Gather, review and critically assess third-party due diligence reports including feasibility studies, real estate appraisals, environmental assessments, etc.
Risk Management:
· In conjunction with the B & Ag teams, administer existing connections including renewals, expired credits, margining, monitoring of classified advance report and review of client files to manage risk and ensure audit requirements are met and ATB continues to lend in a sound manner.
· Ensure credit decisions/recommendations are in accordance with sound credit granting principles and are in accordance with ATB lending policy and procedures.

Job Requirements :
As the ideal candidate you possess:
- Business or accounting degree or diploma.
- ATB Sales and Credit courses or equivalent required.
- 5 or more years experience underwriting business, agricultural and Real Estate loans preferred.
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Enrolment in / completion of RMA Credit courses is encouraged.
