Job Description
As a Senior Director Strategy & AI Transformation at vector8 in Switzerland, you act as a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders across Financial Services and Insurance, shaping and delivering enterprise-wide AI-driven transformation agendas. You originate and lead high-impact engagements – from defining strategic ambition and unlocking new growth opportunities to driving large-scale implementation across operating models, technology and culture. In doing so, you deliver measurable and sustainable business outcomes while embedding lasting organizational change.
You will join a small, entrepreneurial, multi-disciplinary team where you play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction, market positioning, and growth trajectory. Leveraging your strong consulting foundation, you will drive business development, build and expand senior client relationships, and lead high-performing teams. This role requires a passion for impact, proven leadership experience, and the ability to operate at the intersection of strategy, AI, and commercial growth, alongside a willingness to travel for high-profile client engagements.
Job Requirements
- Master degree in Business, Economics or STEM from a leading institution
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a top-tier consulting firm, ideally in complex, regulated industries (e.g., financial services, insurance, banking)
- Strong foundations in consulting: communication, facilitation of workshops and outcome-driven delivery
- Enthusiastic generalist with a sweet spot in future-oriented business strategies and technical knowledge
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI and demonstrable habit of using AI tools and agents in your own daily work – for research, structuring, drafting, or prototyping – and the fluency to speak about it credibly with clients, not just in theory
- Advantageous:Expertisein data and/or AI strategy,governanceand management, with the ability to structure and oversee large-scale initiatives
- Ability to lead, inspire and collaborate – with a drive to create impact for both clients and team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English (French is a strong plus)
- Willingness to travel for client engagements, particularly in the UK and France
Job Responsibilities
- Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or STEM from a leading institution
- 12 – 15+ years of experience in top-tier consulting and/or industry leadership roles, with significant exposure to complex, regulated industries (e.g., financial services, insurance, banking)
- Proventrack recordof originating, selling, and delivering large-scale transformation programs at executive level
- Demonstrated experience advising C-level and Board-level stakeholders on enterprise strategy and transformation
- Deepexpertisein strategy, operating model transformation, and AI/data-driven business innovation, with the ability to shape enterprise-wide agendas
- Strong commercial acumen, including business development and account expansion
- Recognized leader with the ability to build, scale, and lead high-performing teams and leadership layers
- Established thought leadership in AI and/or digital transformation (e.g., publications, speaking engagements, industry recognition)
- Advanced understanding of AI strategy, governance, and large-scale implementation, including risk, regulatory, and ethical considerations
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across senior executive audiences
- Fluency in German and Englishrequired; French a strong plus
