About us

We are Nana, a female-founded startup building a science-backed nutrition and performance coach for female endurance athletes. We’re tackling the massive gender bias in sports nutrition and are building a tool that adapts to real women’s physiology, goals, and daily realities. We aren’t building a cycle tracker or a calorie counter. We are building a brain that helps female athletes fuel better. One that learns. One that listens.

about you

You're an all-round digital creative. The kind of person who feels equally comfortable behind the camera, in front of the camera, and somewhere inside a Notion document organising an entire campaign.

You understand that:

  • a TikTok isn't just a shorter YouTube video
  • a newsletter can be a product
  • community matters more than followers
  • and women's sports deserve much better storytelling

You don't need to be an elite athlete. But if you know what a gel is, have ever joined a run club, or understand why "just push through it" isn't always great advice for female athletes, that's a plus.

What you'll do

🎥 create content

  • Shoot and edit Reels
  • Help develop YouTube and Substack formats
  • Capture our events, community moments and behind-the-scenes stories
  • Occasionally become part of the content yourself

✍️ Tell stories

  • Co-create Nana Stories (our Substack)
  • Turn sports science into human stories
  • Interview athletes, coaches and experts
  • Write captions that sound like actual people wrote it

💜 Build community

  • Show up at our events and social runs
  • Get to know our early believers
  • Help turn users into ambassadors

🧠 Think creatively

  • Develop campaigns and content series
  • Experiment with new formats
  • Spot cultural moments before everyone else
  • Sometimes simply say: "I know this is a bit crazy, but what if we…"

A few stats about you:

  • 5+ years of experience (but who's counting?)
  • Your camera roll is basically a creative archive
  • You save more ideas than you execute (we'll help with that)
  • You've looked at the sports industry and thought:"Women deserve better."
  • You're curious about technology, but obsessed with people
  • You believe brands should build communities, not audiences

Bonus points if you…

  • Are somewhat of a graphic design wizard
  • Read newsletters for fun
  • Love internet culture as much as real-life conversations
  • Prefer shipping something good today over perfect next month

What you'll get

  • The chance to build a brand from day one
  • A small team with ridiculously big ambitions
  • Access to an incredible network of female athletes and experts
  • Freedom to test ideas and actually make them happen
  • Coffee and dog cuddles
  • A front-row seat in changing the future of women's sports

A few things you should know

We're not looking for someone to "manage social media." We're looking for someone who wants to help build one of the most meaningful brands in women's sports. Someone who believes content can create culture. Someone who thinks technology should feel human. Someone who gets excited by the idea that a small team can change an entire industry.

How to apply

Please don't send a traditional cover letter.

Instead, send us:

  • Something you've made that you're genuinely proud of
  • One creator or account you think deserves way more attention
  • The one myth about women in sports you'd love to kill forever

Nana’s founders are queer women, so we mean it when we say that we are committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and empowering workplace where everyone can thrive. There’s a sad statistic: some (ok, a lot of) people are reluctant to apply if they don’t check 100% of the boxes. Don’t be that statistic. If you’re eager to learn and curious about what we do, apply. We’ll carefully consider every application.
